What's the inspiration?

Donating with traditional static QR codes works, it's efficient, but it feels "transactional".

Blending the hypnotic charm of flip-dot displays with the simplicity of QR payments, we created an experience that makes giving feel fresh, playful and engaging.

Instead of a static QR code, QRious Giving becomes a living, reactive canvas.

As people walk past, the flip-dot display mirrors their movement with playful patterns before revealing its true purpose: an invitation to scan, explore and give—privately and at their own pace.

When someone donates, the display responds with a unique animation, turning a simple thank-you into a memorable moment worth sharing.

Singapore Design Week with Just A Band Of Creatives (JABOC)

Part of Design For Care at Marina Central during Singapore Design Week 2025, Playful Living invites people to see play not as a luxury, but as an essential part of daily life that sparks imagination and empathy.

QRious Giving was designed uniquely for this exhibition, transforming the act of giving into an engaging, playful experience that goes beyond just collecting money.

QRious Giving @ Design Social

Design Social, an extension of EMERGE 2025, showcases process-driven projects from across Asia that advance inclusivity and social impact.

The exhibition demonstrates how design can engage people of all abilities while creating systems that are inclusive and meaningful. Beyond the projects themselves, Design Social highlights the individuals and organizations leading this movement, revealing an exciting chapter for inclusive design.

John, curator of Design Social, connected with the ethos behind QRious Giving, and we were honored to have our work featured.
